Color and texture abound in this unusual shop, spread across the entire first floor of a house on Grand Avenue. Formerly C’est Fou, Susan Metzger offers handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces, all of which are custom fit to the buyer free of charge.

Definitely for the older set, these pieces are as much about comfort and ease as they are about style. Exposed, serged seams and patchwork-like designs are common, and most cuts are boxy and forgiving. A wide variety of materials is utilized, but all items are machine-washable.

PVC handbags and jewelry are tucked into several wall units, and also populate a small, brightly-lit room just off the entryway. At the very back of the shop, you’ll find a quiet room with yet more purses and a small selection of Naot shoes.  But the main even here is the figure-friendly clothing.
